I am also honored to have met you all always check here as and when I return from work just to see how everybody is doing it is just like a second family. I have sent you a PM drfell about the phone. Alpha-tag has posted on another site that he wants to upgrade his prototype to a newer firmware and I have sent him email and PM to request he does not do this and for a copy or if I can buy his manual if he goes ahead with it. If I get a copy I will make a copy for you and send it to you.

thanks for the emails by volvoman and drfell...

as i've mentioned, i have the prototype manual and originally, there was tetris and sonic, you're right! tetris could be matched up with another R520m via BT for 2 player mode

16-bit colour is too little how about a least 32bit-256bit colour?now that would be something...while they are at it add a camera, java, poly ringtones...then would be quite good already..the tennis is seriously slow playing with bt...played with my t39(bro using)..arghh!!i want tetris...n the prototype..!!!

the communicam is both usefull and fun..the picture quality of the mca-10 camera for the r520 looks like cheap webcam pic..but sufficient for sending pictures..=)

drfell, wapt... no, I no longer have my R520 (I had the silver one)

I did own a T68 (i software, lunar gray m shell), and I still own my orange R310s

I currently use the P800.

Yes, I agree that the stubby antenna is an /// trademark which I love as well... it also does work better than the internal ones on the T68 and P800. But face it, people in general like the sleek look of internal antennas... I think it was wise of Ericsson (and SE) to adopt the internal antenna design...less things to break off!

Ok, say we keep the antenna on the R520... I really think they should come up w/ a similar design for today's MMS/WAP services.

I think a 160x120 12-bit screen (This is the maximum MMS screen size and I think all SE phones should conform to this size), T68i software, faster CPU, and Memstick Duo would turn the R520 into a very updated business phone. And for those people who don't need the power of the P800 (or simply don't want the size) an updated R520 platform would really boost SE's sales and market position.

MMS may not be as useful as developers think it is... but it is a foundation for more things. I feel the R520 is the perfect size for a business phone...not to big, not to small... easy to type on, enough internal space for features, etc...

SE needs to fill so many gaps that their current models leave in the market. These gaps are filled by Nokia Currently, SE has only 2 spots filled PROPERLY... the T68/T300 models for entry level color screen phones, and the P800 as THE ultimate communication tool. Nokia gets everyone in between!!!
