So funny:
having assured me at 8 this morning that the phone would not be around until next week, O2 then called me (in response to my complaint letter) to say that they were sorry, and that the phone was available and would arrive on Tuesday.

Hi,
I would be very interested to know if the bugs I have complained about in ealier posts are edivent in the O2 model!
My latest one is that the alarms are all turned off yet there is still a little bell icon next to the time and I just know the alarm will ring at one of the times I have already used, like it did at 13:00 in the middle of a meeting today when it wasn't even set!

I hope we can get some feedback from people who own an O2 released P990i, as opposed to one from another network being used on O2 or a Generic one used on O2 or one from CPW or such.
PLEASE COULD SOMEONE WHO HAS GOT THEIR P990i DIRECT FROM O2 CS or AN O2 STORE PLEASE POST THEIR EXPERIENCE AND SALIENT INFO, SUCH AS;
Memory on boot up
Branding and locks
Firmware details
How has it been running so far
Some Photos if possible
Photos or details of packaging
What is the battery model number
What is the date of production
Any surprises
Any extra accessories to make us feel better
I look forward to all your input...so thanks!!!

Called O2 online last night to upgrade and they told me they didnt have it on their systwm.......which was nice. Rang the local O2 store and they have 4 but wanted to charge me £129.99 for the privaledge so I told them where to go. So I called O2 online again just before lunch and to my surprise they actually had some shiney new P990s so I finally managed to upgrade for £49.99. Plus they said they have changed their online tariffs but not updated their website yet. This means I get an extra 100mins than I would have. Now on the "online 30" with 400mins and 750txts for £30 per month - 18month contract. No doubt I would have been able to get a better deal but I've not really kicked up that much of a fuss - not bothered ringing that often since I've been following this forum instead. Anyway my online account says my order has been sent to the warehouse for dispatch so I'm assuming I should get it on Tuesday. Needless to say I'm in a good mood. Just gonna wait for it to arrive and see if tomtom installs before I buy a GPS receiver.
