No need to defend

for no reason. Let's face the facts. LG Optimus 2x is out next month with dual core Tegra2 and Full HD 1080p video encode and decode.
There is no NEED for CPU more than 800 mhz ??????? Are you kiddin me??????????
It isn't all about showing off or boasting on tech blogs. Do you not feel that smartphones today can do much more than what phone could do a few years back ? Are you saying you don't want the technology to move forward ?
Anyways back to the topic, the fact is 2011 will be the year of DUAL CORE smartphones. And

will not be left behind.
i am guessing Anzu has Dual Core now[Xperia Duo]
Xperia Arc mite be Vivaz pro Successor [goldenface mentioned Arc sud be like X1 so slider]
Xperia Neo should be a real surprise if there is no Dual Core.
wht do u guys think??
Does any1 has any update abt the new names??
If

is launchin 4 phones and also 4 new names is out..!! Do u think tht new handsets will be named with those leaked names?? or they would name them as X12 ..etc etc??

Sony Ericsson is set to bring out three new Android phones in the first half of 2011, a source close to the matter has told TechRadar.
The first is (obviously) set to be the mooted PSP Phone, currently still running internally under the Zeus codename and likely to be part of the Xperia family.
The next two will be refreshes of phones in the existing line up, as Sony Ericsson looks to build on its fledgling Android renaissance.

Sony Ericsson likely to demo PSP phone in January
Hot on the heels of sending out an invite for an Xperia experience at Mobile World Congress, Sony Ericsson has invited UK media to a briefing on 6 January about 'how Sony Ericsson plans to enhance the Android experience for consumers'.
The Japanese-Swedish alliance will 'share its plans for 2011, including what's in-store for the Xperia line of devices' showing that there's certainly going to be more than one in the near future.
The obvious device to be shown off is the Sony Ericsson 'PSP phone', although that could well be called the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play after numerous domain names around that moniker were snaffled up by the company's Swedish PR team.

Let's see
Xperia Play - PSPHone
Xperia Arc - Hallon/ Vivaz Pro Android
Xperia Neo - Anzu ( "new" Xperia X10)
Xperia Duo - ?????????????
So it seems Xperia Play, Arc and Neo would be out in the first half. And Xperia duo will come in second half 2011.

Am very sure there is a dual core phone but as usual they will launch late.
But I dont understand why always get new names? Why not stick to Old type names?? Xperia Play is cool but not other names. It will confuse so many of us..

It's easier to remember a name than a number

I personally prefer the new names
Anyways, there is a reason why

want to play it safe and not launch a dual core smartphone in first half 2011 - Android Honeycomb !
Gingerbread is not optimized for dual core processors and as we know

isn't very good with the software part

. So perhaps they would like to launch the dual core phone with honeycomb to avoid any software issues.
Oh and P.S. Vivaz Android or Halon sports an EXMOR R camera module and will be the "cybershot" of the 2011 Xperia line up.
