*Marketing-Brain On* Why do you need flash if you have EXMOR R sensor? Makes great pictures in the dark, no neeed for flash! *Marketing-Brain Off*
And regard those cam-pics: waaaaaay too early to judge anything (if they are from Nozomi at all).
Is this Nozomi? Is it good overall?

AFAIK there is 12 mp EXMOR R sensor. So you mean Nozomi has 16 mp Exmor R

I'm not sure whether software optimisation is a adequate replacement for a good Xenon flash. I remember some of the macro and xenon flash pictures taken with the K800i years ago and they were amazing.

Hmm so going by the post argiriano made, its going to be the Arc all over again.
1 year behind competition again. This year
corrected the mistake they made last year with software but it seems like they did not want to learn a lesson this year.

Exmor R isn't purely software optimisation is it? I thought it was as much if not more to do with the sensor technology.
Granted though, Exmor R + xenon would mean better pictures.

Exmor R has nothing to do with software. Its a CMOS sensor with a back - illuminated structure. "R" signifies back-illumination.

I'm hoping they'll put better lenses, too. When the first iPhone 4S camera samples were uploaded in the net I compared them with pictures taken by Arc. I could easily see the big difference between Apple's and SE's poor (probably plastic) lenses.

Surely people remember how well the cameras of the K800 / K810 / C905 were received. Xenon plus Exmor R is a winning combo. Why can't they make it happen?

Put on a Xenon Flash, and watch people complain that the device is too thick.
