A mass-market smartphone?!
By mass-market smartphone I presume you mean, not a normal smartphone which has traditionally been a niche, high-end product, but a dumbed-down smartphone for the masses - in other words a not-so-smart phone?
Good, Nokia is excellent at making not-so-smartphones so I donĄĶt mind them being the king of dumb phones!
Such a simplistic view that I dont whether I want to laugh or laugh even louder. Some years ago, a computer used to be niche product where select few used it. Now tom-dick-harry used computer. Is the current model computer is less functional than those yonders ago?

Just to add. SE should do something fast if it wants to have any chance as Nokia is steamrolling ahead in 3G. I think you have read that Nokia took the top position in 3G sales in 2Q 2005 from a position of obscurity. All this is due to 6630/6680. Just imagine, in the next 6 months there will be N70/90/91/6280/3250 and few to be announced 7XXX/8XXX 3G smartphone.

Quote:It is a small 3G phone, and signifies to me that SE have done significant development on their 3G hardware to make it smaller. It shows that SE have listened to the market, which has said "we don't want 3G bricks".
I think it is more of technology progression. Nobody wants to make a "brick". Even the first SE 3G is a brick. We are passed the time where 3G phone size is a stumbling block. If the K750/W800, a SE mainstream phone were 3G, then I think it would be much more successful. Why is it not? So in this aspect SE is a bit slow. Compared to Nokia, most of its recently released mainstream mid to high-end phones are 3G.

Well you can laugh as loud as you like!!! In fact I hope you fall off your perch for laughing
However, it doesn't escape the fact that you're posting here on this Esato thread, in the vain attempt of giving the 3250 respectibility, by comparing it the K750i and trying to brainwash people into thinking that this bland brick, is anything other than heap of sh*te!
Get real! Look at it! Its crap looking!!
You can do a point by point feature comparison/analysis between the two handsets for hours but, at the end of the day, you would have to be out of your crippled mind to contaminate your pockets with a handset that has all the style and looks of a dusty old video cassette!
It's the booby prize of modern handsets!!
It would have to cram a whole lot more features into that unfortunate looking, disaster of a body to get anyone to even give it a second glance!

I think it is only your feeble attempt to elevate K750/W800 to something it is not. Fact is, if you do a side-by-side comparison of functionalities, the 3250 is ahead. I dont expect you to have any objectivity left in you to ever see this. All you do is spew idiotic rant. I never see you give any constructive counter-argument to my points. So I will just leave it at that as it is no point debating with empty tin can.

At the end of the day, its all about personal choices, i buy the phone i want with the features i need, to compare and argue like this thread is doing is only gonna end up in heated rows (like it has). I have a W800, im very happy with it, even after reading the spec of the Nokia i wouldnt swap my SE for it for any amount of money. I used to be Nokia all the way and changed when the phones went to 1.3 Meg pix... Since then i have had a SPV (M100 - aweful phone), and a samsung d500 (very good phone). The W800 is my first SE phone and i gotta say, im very impressed with their functions, layout and general usabillity.
Personally, it would take a lot to go back to a nokia - just my opinion

Well of course its gonna be ahead, Duh!! You're comparing a smartphone with a non-smartphone!!
Why on earth wouldn't it be ahead!! On paper its plain to see!!!!
Unfortunately for you the title of the thread isn't
K750i v 3250 on functionalities only!!!!!
The K750 is a better product simply because the 3250 is a terrible design.

To have an answer to your question, all you have to do is to read my earlier post which I have said each phone has its own advantages and it is up to one's preferences which to buy. I am only trying to show the good side of 3250 same as what you are trying to do for the K750/W800. I am not trying to convert any1 and I am not the one who use phrases like "piece of sh*t", "brick", "dumb" to mock the other side phones.
