Sony Ericsson Australia were saying "mid-September" 2 weeks ago. As of today, they will only say "coming soon" and refuse to give a date. They refuse to provide warranty on a P990i bought from another country, which really sucks, cause there's a whole lot of P990i's on eBay shipped from HK that are awfully tempting. I hear that Optus will release them sometime in October, which also sucks.

Well I think the October time frame is currently looking like the earliest we are going to get any Down Under. Was in Organiser World at Melbourne and one of the staff member confirmed that they are getting it in October last week.

Gave O2 a quick call today and the release date has been changed in the UK from the 11th of September to the 18th. Someone on the forum mentioned upgrade users can get it now, but O2 confirmed it won't be available to anyone on their network until the release date and I was told I can't 'pre-order'. Oh well, an extra week won't hurt.
