i get the impression that it is all ovr for uiq - certainly from our perspective anyway - they seem to be moving away from the small dev apps of uiq2 - ive been speaking at length with uiq and they dont seem to see the problems of the small developers - i think also maybe that the operators are pushing for more locked down os - but i could be wrong :/

the upshot is though less apps, and less functional app, and more cost to developers - non of this can be good

i know next time i buy a smartphone i will def be looking at wm6 etc

I have read this post and think that the fact that it takes REAL unrest for anyone to do something is a bit lax... But then who am I to disrespect the almighty ? I am only one customer... Maybe one by one we could aire our displeasure and force the dinosaurs to give us our full REFUNDS to buy something from another manufacturer... heck maybe they could exchange my p990 for an n95 when it comes out?

Seriously though, from the way things are moving along, it seems as though most of the major problems will be ironed out soon and I'll no longer have anything to whine about. You may very well be right about getting attention one year later when they promote UIQ3.5 and market it saying how they learned from the mistakes made during UIQ3. Hah.

I dont know how serious SE is about getting the new FW. Do they even care? Sometimes i am thinking that SE only want to make walkman phones and leave P990 users at the point where they are now. SE please sort this Fw issue out and make P990i the monster it should be!
