if you love the functionality from HTC and just like SE, then wait for next year, cause HTC and SE are going to make a couple of phones together, just with SE branding

Agreed. My first thought was that there's not a lot wrong with the P1i physically. It's hard to add more buttons or a bigger screen without making it bigger, and I'd rather have it small.
There's lots of scope to improve the software, though.
