the rap crap really annoys me too. i mean its in a bus with 60 people you would think they had enough brains to figure out not everyone likes thier ''music''

my first phone my dad bought me only after i turned 14. it was a k500i. then my mum bought me a k800 after my k500 stoped working. my dad had a p990 and realised it was crap so he gave it to me and gave it back. its still in a cupbored somewhere, what a waste of money. after my little sis got to about same age as i was when i got a phone she got it, my dad said thats the right time. she said she wanted one of them swivel ''le ammore'' nokias. i told her she can have mine its better than that one she said ok. so my dad bought me a k850. and thats just about the only expensive thing i have.

I kind of agree. I got my 1st phone when i was 12yearsold (NOKIA 3210) it was a simple phone kept it for a while and had another 3phones (7110, 3510i, and 7250i), when i turned 16 i got a SE W800 then a few months later got a W900, after turning 17 i got a N80 and then two months before turning 18 i got a N81, i don't think i was spoilt just lucky lol all the phones i had wern't too expensive, except for the W900 and N80.
I feel my 12yrld brother is spoilt though, when he turnd 11 last year my Dad got him a SE W300 on a pay as you go sim BUT every week my Dad loads around R120 of airtime thats around £8pounds every week, then beginning of this year his W300 broke, and my Dad made IMHO the biggest mistake and gave my now 12yearld bro his HTC TyTN!
And at my school theres a lot of this going on. Ive seen 10yearolds with K810s,W910s, saw a 13yearld with a N95, a 15yearld girl with a N95-8GB AND even a 13yearld with a HTC MTEOR, it realy is getting kind of ridiculous.

why is everyone acting like only adults should have good phones. what if the kid has a n95 8gb or whatevr but what if thats the only expensive thing he owns. i have a k850 on contract and im 16, but my dad made me prommiss i will get good grades in school. and now he has told me he will get a ps3 becuase i have good grades on my report. im not spoilt and i dont have many luxuries exept the phone and a decent pc in my room.

Thats a condradiction in terms if I ever heard one....

"I'm not spoilt.....but my Dad gave me an expensive phone/contract on the HOPE I might do well in some exams, and then is going to give me a PS3 if I do anyway!" What the f**k is that all about?

And "I'm not spoily and I don't have many luxurys, except the phone and the decent PC in my room", again, thats a really bad case of hipocracy.

I hate it when parents 'bribe' there kids into getting good grades, if the kid is too dumb to not figure it out for themselves WHY getting good grades is so important, then they deserve to fail and wind up in a shit job the rest of their lives. The parents should sit down and explain why it's important, no bribe them with expensive toys.

I never had any of that stuff, and while I wasn't happy about it, it taught me alot and I wouldn't change it for the world now.

Since kids have been flooded with so called children rights they seem to be getting worse and worse each and every day. There is no way at which I can let my kid handdle such an expensive device. No matter how filthy rich I may be.

I no-longer see the point of this thread. It was started out of jealousy in the first place. I can see where some people are coming from but if the child is good behaves himself what is to say he cannot be rewarded? If a little hoodie brat gets all these things then yeah, thats a good point.

maybe that phone was stolen?

That is why I have never been allowed to bring unknown goods into the house. Not even one member of the family could be allowed.

I must be getting old or am old fashioned cos im getting so sick of hearing them bloody phones on the bus blaring. You say something to them and they give you lip back. I seen one woman throw some guys phone out the bus window once. Bet she was popular. Lol.

This is one of the reasons why I dont support the idea of the kids owning these gadgdets. They just cant handle them with good behaviour. I always tell them to behave or have them flying through the window.

Oh for god sake Thomas 93 saying everyone on this thread is jealous of what these teenagers are given or have. Er i dont think so get over yourself. I as a 36 year old mature man do not get jealous of someone with a more expensive mobile phone than i have. Sorry but its just sad i started this thread because alot of what i see these days irritates the hell out of me. Kids dont know they are born. I think im finished with this thread cos there are obviously kids out there where DADDY gives them everything thing on a plate dont save for their future and spend money on rubbish they dont need. Nobody thinks about kids who have nothing. Sorry but its just my opinion.

When i said i treat all my stuff well i meant that i respect the fact my mum has spend x amount on the phone, psp, laptop, 360 and im going to look after it becaucse i know she has worked hard for it.

When i got my first phone it was the nokia 5146 and then the 7210 on contract. I never went over my allowance. Now being 19 my mum still pays my bills but if i go over i give her the extra cash.
