To be fair the Catholic church doesn't often make public complaint, they simply have old fashioned disapproval
The context with the two games mentioned is interesting. The Church of England complained at depicting war, hypocritical considering how much war has been fought "in the name of God" and LittleBigPlanet is probably contextually the least offensive game ever made

Interesting to read another article about some ex-Sony guy praising Sony and Media Molecule for reprinting the discs. HE said LittleBigPlanet is supposed to be a global game, so if it's going to cause any offense at all, then it will fail in its goals. Hang on I'll find the link. It was PS3 fanboy again.
EDIT:
Here we go. Also just saw that a patch has been released for those that got one of the recalled discs.

I am not sure what the Quran says about music, but the fact is, I am learning Hindustani classical music which has a fair amount of Islamic influence. In fact, this is an unique example where Hindu and Muslim cultures have blended together and end up creating a trait of music that has considerable influence of both religions. The Islamic influence later translated into "dedicated" Islamic music forms like Ghazals, Qawwalis and hamds.. .. From Wikipedia: An interesting aspect of Hindustani music going back to sufi times, is the tradition of religious neutrality: Muslim ustads singing Hindu bhajans, or vice versa.

the main difference with this issue and the previous one in regards to the church is what part of the game is affected...
A music file is easy to remove and replace.... part of a level isnt...
Simple as.
Whats been done has been done lets put this one to rest as theres no need to discuss any further in my eyes!

U can probs just turn the track off in the playlist or the volume down of the music.

Well there's no need to now because every disc has been recalled, destroyed and re-printed
(apart from the few which have been released early which will be subject to the v1.01 patch)
but yeah that would have been a rather cost effective solution

I'm sure there will be some people that just won't update, or don't have an internet connection. Talked to my local store today and they reckon the 7th of November which is fine by me. Gives me loads of time to get into Midnight Club.
