I'm sorry, but please explain how the Z5 was ugly (in its day - but even today it still holds its own IMHO)

or even its predecessor, the Z1

and don't forget it was SonyEricsson that put the stop to the Sony product that was to be the Z5 successor under the brand...

sadly, these pictures from early internet times don't do half justice but if you ever held these in your hand as I did, you would not call them ugly.

anyway, since when did Sony put out ugly products... they are very similar to Apple in that respect

Z5 was nicest one as it also had no protruding antenna and was kinda like the Xperia Mini phones of their time. I just hated the J5

I can't say if it was the first with MP3, but the MZ5 variant was the first with external storage (the MagicGate memory stick) to store your music!

As I've said before, Sony were well ahead of their time in their day

Ok, ugly may be too strong... but I do think they look more like toys (but I will say that the scroll wheel IS ugly, practical for left-handed use maybe, but ugly none the less) than elegant accessories compared to the equivalent generation (T28, T68, R520, R320)

Honestly i find Z5 to be good looking from year 2004 onwards i am yet to see a Sony product that looked terribly bad at least for my taste, IMHO they are masters of design now and they give focus on ergonomics and style. the newest sub brand for example the NEX series had won the hearts of photographic lovers with its aggressive and compact design while utilizing a large sensor previously perceived impossible to fit. also it was sony who first used chicklet style keyboard before Macbooks and the rest started using them.

P900,P910 both looked great to me, I also find P800 to be cool as while the rest of the world were still making their first colored screen/camera phone SE is so much ahead, of course Jplacson and the someone else would not agree with me

But My all time favorite Ericsson phone was this:

I'll be really missing and the influence of but i think we have to move on now and give Sony a chance (Dups! can you read this? )

Will Sony ditch the present 2011 xperia line-up after January. I mean, will they support them or not? I have been looking for their statement about this but sadly I can't find a single thing about it.

All the 2011 xperia phones are cheaper compared to others but the attractive price is worthless if after 3 months, your phone will be obsolete. Also, was the IceCream Sandwich update cancelled too after the buy-out?
