make sure it's an no-name T28 cable, then you will LIKELY be OK.

Krypton_John,
Great minds think alike - I ordered the T28 cable from DVDS2000 on Wednesday. Since they advertise it as working with the unlocking software, surely this is breakthrough I've been waiting for! Just awaiting delivery now. I'll post back once I get the cable and retry the flashing.

So, to sum up, it is possible to remove the Voda crap from the phone.
But a few questions should be clarified:
- How many credits are needed? Coz some ppl say that not all the crap is gone after the AVR is flashed. So, true or false???
- If I flash a voda-R1A081 with the lastest custom-version (R1L), will it work, or do I have to flash the voda-R1A081 with a custom-R1A081, then reflash it with a custom-R1L to have the lastest updates?
Once I have these answers, I'll try to find a PC with a serial port (my Sony laptop doesn't have one!!!)
And by the way, the required software (from cellular support) are these, right?
- SonyEricsson Flashing and IMEI Ver 4.10
- R1L013

I found most of the answers to my questions readinf this thread :

so, sorry to have asked
Still, I have one more thought:
Once the phone is voda-free on R1A081, can I upgrade it with the R1L013? If yes, with what version? Should I rather do the following:
a. Uncustomize it with the R1A081
b. Upgrade to a version of the R1L013 (non-voda)
or
1. have my phone upgraded to voda-R1L013
2. uncustomize it using the said method
Belive it's the second that's good, right?

Yes, that's the second. But you have to upgrade the phone first at a SE service point.
You cannot upgrade the phone by flashing it yourself. This will kill the phone.
