We are working on the next release of OrangeScribble. It will have a pen color selection tool. It will be a while before we release, but I'll mention to the board when we do.

I'd like to know what you think are the major missing features. My list so far is as follows:

Ink Color
Brush selection (wide pen, shapes, etc)
Anti-aliased ink (reduce jaggies)
Image Insertion: drop a photo or icon onto the paper
Updates Indicator: a "message check" function that will contact the server every so often (configurable) to check whether new ink is available.
Chat functionality some mechanism to check whether non-buddies are available for chatting
Desktop client An OrangeScribble client that runs on the desktop and enables communication with mobile users. Typically the desktop user will type (drawing with mouse will work as well, but is kind of awkward), and their messages will appear in the space. The mobile user will write with the pen, and the desktop user will see the writing.
Ink timestamps Timestamps automatically dropped into the space, so you know when a buddy left a message.

I'd like to know which of the above appeal the most, or if there are others I've missed. We're a small team and can only manage so much at a time: your opinion helps a lot to prioritize the work!

Thanks,
Alan

those features sound great but one thing that niggles is me having to click the new paper icon.

would it be possible to to provide an option to 'auto new paper' when the writing reaches say 75 or 80% down the page? it should probably only scroll up 50%

also an eraser is a must as I am forever scribbling out something and starting again and it just looks messy when I could have just erased the little bit I did wrong

thanks!

Not forgetting that a pocketpc client would be nice, since it has a pen interface already This message was posted from a WAP device

Thanks for a very nice program! Dont think so many people really tried it out so much so far. Itīs becoming more and more fun and I looking forward to the next version. The idea of" Image Insertion: drop a photo or icon onto the paper" sounds fine. Ink timestamps, and Ink Color gonna be great too. Any chance to to keep the contact on the server even if not active for a while? Now I need to go back pretty often to not be disconnected.

Maybe someway of dropping jotter images from the P800/P900 jotter program into the paper...that way you can show people pre-defined images/maps etc.
