Bastards! I got my phone's software upgraded at Carphone Warehouse today and it's only gone from R1A081 to R1L013

Personally I think they ought to invent a way of updating phone software over the Internet, a bit like Microsoft's "Windows Update", so you can connect to SE's site and get your phone's software upgraded when new versions come out. Surely it'd save them so much money on having to pay people to do the software upgrades over time, and that way you could reach more people...?

I updated my firmware to R6C005 a couple of days ago using a data cable and Div 8.4. My phone is much faster now (it used to have R1 something)

I have a T630 with the SW R1A. If I upgrade the phone to R6C, will there be any new functions or any noticable changes to the camera etc?

I upgraded my wife and 2 kids T610s and my T630 myself last week and it feels quite a bit snappier. That was the first comment my daughter made too.

Haven't really noticed much else really in the last week
