What's the total memory in the phone? Do you know. Its either 40MB or 48MB in my view (only requires 2 DIMMs on the PCA to get those values). Anything in between would require 3 DIMMs, which doesn't make sense in terms of cost and layout.

Now can it be total of 40MB? yep, but the SE dutch site did mention 41MB (maybe they're counting 1MB as 1000bytes, the old hard disk capacity trick ), that'll give 41MB.

1. why dont you buy 3310 instead of yours,z600?
2. why do you have a phone with camera, you will not be a producer.

i want to put as much technology in my phone, you buy a classic one.

Well, some people get more advanced phones because they use them, and I do not agree when people say that a cell phone is for calling people. A cell phone is for communication, and communication is not only talking; it's messaging and even better it is connecting it to a computer to make it go online.

On the other hand, I thing lots of people have camera phones simply because the maker has put a camera in the phone. I have my Canon IXUS 400 and probably will not be taking pictures with a K700!

The same for other advanced features... For instance my brother has a smartphone; but I don't think he uses the smartphone features a lot!!

it looks like 41mb it is a strange number like others have said. quite why se have so far said 32mb in all literature. though extra memory is always an added bonus
the only thing that might effect it i suppose is what the networks do to it maybe they will load it up which is why se has quoted 32mb as they know that the netowrks are gonna drop in a few sample movies mp3 themes etc
sim free buyers may get the 41mb

My point of view is, SE could easily kill off NK and others if it adds in at least a DUO card capability into K700 for people to store more MP3s, video clips, etc. See, Ipod is good, no doubt about it, but SE's implemention of MP3 player has always been good too, eversince HPM-10 (the external MP3 player that plugs into T28, T68m/i, even T610), SE has been using stereo output, unlike most NK's implementation which are mono only (except a few like the new 6230, Ngage, etc). The main advantage of having a good MP3 player on my phone, is that I can listen to music for as long as I want, and not afraid of missing a single call or SMS, e-mail, etc. With Ipod (or, as a matter of fact, any other other MP3 player), the chances of these issues are high. Missing calls, etc may not be important to some, but it may be a life and death matter for others.

As for the camera, well, wait till they reaches 3.2MP (like the new Casio phone) then will I consider them to be of any real advantage

Cheers

Thats what the vibrate is for. Personally if adding MS duo jacks up the price by USD100, then I don't want it. If you need that, wait for the F700.

To be honest, I won't compare an Ipod to the K700 (or F700). Imagine listening to mp3s 8 hours straight on the phone. Would the battery even support that?

We don't even know what the UI for the media player will be like on the K700, scrolling through albums of songs (assuming you had the space!), it would take some doing to beat the iPod in that area

YOu even sometimes miss SMS because of just 2 options of hearing the SMS or MMS (Tone, Click or None), I hope the K700, which will come with 6 or 7 options of hearing the messages will have the option of vibrator and loud tons .

If only the K700 had an OGG Player.... I can fit almost 4 hours of great quality music on my 128Mb MMC (next to 20Mb of apps and video's). An average OGG file in 128kbps MP3 quality is about 1,8Mb. That would be a nice solutions.
