I think there is a misconception that a company needs to have 'lost it' for another company to be doing better than it.

One thing that makes a big difference is distributors. If your country has a good distibutor of a certain brand it will sell well if not that brand is doomed.
In Egypt Nokia has two which compete fiercely,Nokia dominates the market. Next, is Samsung which also has two distributors. Next you'll find Alcatel, Siemens and Sagem. These companies are the most prominant because they advertise more. On the other hand both SE and Motorola are declining because there distributors are unconsious.
I haven't seen a SE add in 4-5 months. We didn't get the T630 yet or atleast it was never advertised and no shops near me sell it. If your products don't come to a market you get forgotten by consumers then its harder to re-enter the market. SE could do even better if it could improve its retailers in some countries.

Pls dont forget, that u can put any kind of mem card in it, in a p smart only sony card. Its a logical step by se, but a weak point for the users.

I agree, marketing department at SE sucks, they should try to work better if they want more SE phones on the streets, and try to refresh products on latin america countries.

what fiasco? This phone sold very well (8 times more than what the P800/900 sold). I'm using one now and other than the plain outer shell, there is nothing plain about what this smartphone can do.

I dont like 6600 design, a smart should look more serious and elegant, p9 has got it more.
