Here in Sri Lanka we call it mobile or cell phone. But the real Sinhalese word is "Jangama Durakathanaya". Jangama means mobile or something you can carry. Durakathanaya means telephone. This message was posted from a WAP device

In Belgium we say (or at least in the flemish part of the country): GSM (the correct dutch word is mobiele telefoon of mobieltje, gsm is the more common slang word).

In Maori, the native language of New Zealand, 'mobile phone' is "waea pukoro".

Waea = telephone (from the English word "wire")
Pukoro = pocket

There's also another name of it in Hungarian = maroktelefon. But they don't use it nowadays, BTW marok stands for palm.

Movicom was an operator.. now Movistar... In Argentina we say Celular too..
