> Should I still get the S700?
Bookmark topic
@Vanquish But we don't know when those phones will be released and he is on Vodafone and his contract has just finished.
He could cancel his contract and then wait around on PAYG for the other phones to be released but we don't know when and we don't know how much they are going to be?
Decisions, decisions. Either that or go for the S700, which anyone will say is a damn good cameraphone. It only got released in October so it is not even that old!!
The K750, W800, K600 etc will all still be there next year.

why live for the past? a 4 month old phone in terms of technology advancement and new chips is OLD.
why not wait a few weeks. i have waited three months for the W800 and yet i am still patient!
be patient my friend, a phone with memory stick duo pro support, and a 2 megapixel camera with auto focus and excellent digital music quality is on its way!

Yeah but the individual design, beautiful screen and rare form factor of the S700 makes it a classic must have item.
I am also patient which is why I am gonna wait until next year for my K600i.

I can't wait. But I will not rushout for the K750, I will nurse my K700i through till september and get the W800. I want the phone I can switch of and still use the music player (save batt when don't need phone)! I hope the Cam and Games are also available when phone turned off.
PLUS EXPANSION CARD FOR MASSES OF MUSIC, GAMES AND PHOTOS
Oh, sorry I didn't mean to shout, I'm just a little excited.
JasA dude, I understand you don't like the block, but you should try the S700 for opening before you buy, I get the impression it's not easy one handed like a clamshell. That would make the decision easier, since SE don't have any new clamshells coming!

Lots of replies!!
@Goldenface - Yes I thought the problem was with O2, but the vodafone woman on the phone was insistent that they were not getting more in until Sony had fixed it, as it had been occurring on Vodafone. She basically could not give me a delivery date, and said it could be a 'few weeks' anyway. I may phone tomorrow again and speak to someone else, as that usually gets a completely different answer!
@Vanquish and Max- I have a nice small MP3 player, and so wasn't too bothered with going over 128mb memory support. Plus, I do like the look of the S700 much more than even the W800.
I had a little play with the S700 in a store a few days ago, and I did like it, particularly the swivel, which I thought was pretty cool and stylish. It was a touch heavy for my liking, but other than that I liked it, and still want it!
Thanks for the discussion guys, I like that this thread is going on so long!

That woman on Voda doesn't know what she is on about. I have seen no one else mention the problems on Voda.
The S700 is only out on Uk O2 and Voda so if there was a problem on both networks that would mean SE would have to recall every Sim S700 in the UK !?!
