well i'm off to vodafone to try and get them to fix it.
Wish me luck all.
Any suggestions on what to tell them?

Well get a T28 and we will just fix with setool, the problem is not the phone but the battery. By the way dead phones can charge battery
it only sometimes works - thats why i suggested leaving it on charge for at least 2 hours.

But even if it was the battery that is making it not switch on, I should get an error message right? since the finalization never finishes.
Strange thing is, when I plug it into the charger the leds on the camera light up, and thats not normal..
edit: correction, the screen and outer screen light up very dimly as well.

I don't think they'll help you mind you as you don't have anything at all that says you bought it from them.
