The idiots have just told me that it has not been ordered for me.

They are checking what has gone wrong.

I forgot to mention, I asked the SE engineer how they could release such a bug ridden phone and he said it was because they are making a lot of money due to the price it is being sold at.

Marketing genius, how to kill off a product line in one swoop.

And do you beleive what that SE engineer said? It's not as if the reason he gave was actuallya reason. It doesn't follow that if they are making a lot of money, then they are bound to release a bug-ridden phone. The two things just don't go together. Releasing a bug-ridden phone won't make money for them if they end up having to replace phones that were sold to disgruntled customers. Was your SE engineer in a position to know why they released a bug-ridden phone, or was it just a throwaway remark by him? Was there actually a reason why they released a bug-ridden phone? Do you think the SE directors made a conscious decision to release a bug-ridden phone? (and also to let your SE engineer in on the secret?)

They're out of stock so I wont get mine for another week, well, thats what they say, could end up being another month with their recent track record. I ordered mine on Friday at 5pm.

It a shame that its not the new firmware but the old one thats been available for at least a month. So much for delaying the phone to improve the firmware.

@Rossyrox
Isnt yours a voda branded one? If it is, then you'd be better off disscussing your phone in the voda p990 thread because theres already a lot of info about it there and the o2 will probably be quite different and mixing the issues will confuse everyone.

My suggestion for all of you, don't buy the phone for now. It's better wait a couple of week to see what the new fw can fix than put your phone in the drawer. I really hate my P990 right now.... it's dumbest phone i've ever use... So, up to you to decide but better try your friend's P990 to check it out before make any decission... Hope next FW will fix alot... and that's the time for all of you to buy this phone.... (it's a campaign against bad product),,, hope SE would listen

That's weird cos I ordered mine on Saturday about 1pm and it's with DHL and should arrive tmrw. I am with o2 online but I cant imagine they'd give priority over any other o2 customers like those on select seem to get.

I know, im o2 online too. Spoke to them and they said they cant do anything about it. I was going to keep 2 contracts, one o2 and one T for the web and walk but now im just going for the walk n web and keeping my number, which was the best thing to do. Only bad point is that I wasted 3 months.
