Dear All!

Just before I head home today, I'll be leaving you guys with a topic to pry on.

Has anyone got any idea of what type of /// phone is installed in VOLVO cars, models such as the S60, V70XC, S80, XC90?

I can´t imagine Volvo equipping any of the above mentioned cars with Ericsson phones since they were all released well past Ericssons merge with Sony..
All i can say on the subject is that my "new" car, a -92 Buick Park Avenue, formerly owned by Nestlé Sweden is equipped with Ericsson gear (dashboard phone holder, handsfree and rear window aerial)

@ Threex

Actually during the time the S80/S60/V70/XC70 was released in the Philippines, an integrated GSM mobile phone was installed on these units.

There was a Simcard holder at the bottom of the phone, the Earpiece was through a gooseneck right at the headrest of the driver's seat & the microphone was installed within the reaerview mirror. The Display text of the phone was via the instrument panel lower left.

I'll try to post a pic should I find one, but during the time I was with VOLVO then, I had tried it & the amazing thing is whenever you receive an SMS, the phone will not allow you to reply unit it notices the wheels are at a full stop (perhaps living up to VOLVO's commitment to be the world's SAFEST car).

By the way addidtional controls for the Yes & No buttons for /// were located at the right side of the steering wheel.
