I have 10.3 on my G4 and although the K750i is recognised as a device in the system profiler, it doesn't come up on the desktop when the USB cable is plugged in which means I STILL can't do anything! Help!

We are all having problems with USB and SE phones on Macs. I have a z800 and the problem is the same. You will have to wait until Apple releases a fix, and no this is not an Apple problem as the phone came out well after Tiger was released. To transfer files to my z800, I use a MS DUO adapter and MS DUO reader and this works fine. Just have to delete the DS file created. We are all waiting for a fix.

That's odd guys. My phone works fine on a machine running 10.3.7 as mentioned before. Is there anyway of determining if our phones are different batches or what firmware we're all running?

One issue that I do have is getting shadow files when viewing pictures I have uploaded to the phone.

I've made some of my own wallpapers and as an example I copy over my file, let's say it's called mydesktop01.jpg, when looking at the relevant folder on the phone's memory card in my Mac OS finder all I see is the one file. When I unmount the card and check the file on the phone I get a file icon that cannot be viewed called _mydesktop in addition to the file mydesktop.jpg which views the image as intended.

Also, if I delete the image from the phone the shadow file cannot be deleted???

Odd.

this "shadow file" it used in the mac file system as a sort of index and is usually preceded with a dot. In unix systems, filenames that begin with a dot are usually hidden unless specifically asked to be revealed. That's why it doesn't (in the finder) show up on a mac, but it does on the phone.

YOu need a program to delete the "shadow file" while your phone is connected to the Mac. Do a search for either: FinderCleaner, DS_Store Cleaner, DeStore all for Macintosh.
