Of course I could do it and phone him.
What for?

As SEI and me posted before: killspam would never sell his woring wakaba and futaba protos.
Technical details ...
Wakaba and Futaba are 3G platform protos, Futaba also with VGA-Cam. The software on both platform protos seems to be nearly the same. Also Wakaba has Cam-Menu, but no Cam.
They are both a part of the research proto platform by Ericsson mobile platforms and have never been made as end-user handsets. They are platform protos for testing and research for new applications based on the U100/E100 platform with a testing-cover. But the platform is what is sold to NEC,LG and many many other companies to build their own UMTS/EDGE handsets based on Ericsson technology.

For example the same technology which is in Wakaba and Futaba is used in SE Z1010.

-------
Ericsson Mobile platforms:
Ericsson established Ericsson Mobile Platforms as a wholly owned company in September 2001 to help drive the development of the mobile industry. It is one of the first companies in the world to license open-standard 2.5G and 3G technology platforms to manufacturers of mobile phones and other wireless information devices.
Ericsson Mobile Platforms offers a complete, end-to-end interoperability tested platforms across 2.5 and 3G. The company provides a common software platform for GSM/GPRS, EDGE and WCDMA terminals enabling application portability, stability, security and state of the art power consumption and size. Technology is based on our global standardization leadership and the world's strongest Intellectual Property Rights for 2.5 and 3G systems.

Yesterday
We made mobile phones.
We made mobile platforms for in-house use only!
Today
We don’t make mobile phones.
We make mobile platforms for everyone!
(Niklas Bengtsson, FM/M - Ericsson Mobile Platforms AB; 2003-03-03)

@bart @tiger thx. The spirit is there, but its now behind the curtains. We should be proud of it, that thd master teaches the world of 3g and shares the knowledge. This message was posted from a WAP device

Indeed, that would be great and actually, i dont think, that its impossible, but not a big chance for it imo. As i mentioned before, they are busy at mob platform with other things, questionable that they have at the moment sw, fw and design ideas of 3g fones. This message was posted from a Nokia
