You mean artwork. Yep unfortunately in 99% of cases those nice(and actually not:-)) pics never became real phones. Why all of you are seeking for japanese test phones while you don't have none of swedish(look at the pics in my prior post they all are
fully working and that proto with keyboard that consists of 2 pieces looks like looks to be used very often).

just to keep the ericsson spirit in me alive, fortunately I have won a SH 888 on local ebay. Date: 99, wk 49. Inspite the wear and tear plus a class A metal hydride battery, it is in good running condition. Whew!!!
It really brings back the good memories when I first used Ericsson (a 628).
What amazes me is that it accepts present high memory capacity sim cards (64k and 72k). Take note that during sh888's time, our sim capacity was around 8k and 16k. I have said this because from experience, some phones do not accept certain sim cards. My r600 does not accept 72k sim cards of my local telcos. I came across a phillips xenium model and it only accepts 32k sim cards.
For a classic icon like the sh888, it is simply amazing.
Aaaahhhhh.....let the spirit of the Ericsson lives!!!

boba,
I havent tested it yet with re to the Irda. I am not sure about the battery since it is class a generic. However from the looks of it, it is quite thick so I assume this could be a battery with high capacity.
I will check and update you.
Gurus,ex Ericsson people here: to settle curiosity about what the meaning of the different prefixes of ericsson models: GA, SH, S, GF and the like, please share your inputs. Different models and specs yet same design during its time (S868 vs sh888, etc.). PLease enlighten us gurus.

Hi folks!
I'm back from a long week of work, anyway, my utmost appreciations go to all the /// people who supported me rekindling the /// fire within. (YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE).
By the way for queries sake, I had noticed that most /// phones had high end versions that started with models having the number "8" to it such as the SH888,GH888,S868,T28,R380 & the T68, I mentioned this ever since I saw Tiger post his GS88 which was an awesome model during its time.
Adding to this enhanced versions carried the "E" suffix such as the T20e from the T20s & the R380e which was an enhanced version of the R380s (even reviews & critics noted the improvement) then the "E" was shfted to the "I" which i noticed took placed from the T68m to the T68i & as of this day is still demonstrated with the P910i from the P910.
Wonder what the "I" suffix stood for? was it "improvement"?
