Does anyone know what happens when you take an iPhone back for a replacement? Do you have to be the original buyer etc?

Anyone?

Cheers

If its Jailbroken apple won't touch it! or at least thats what my personal experience was of trying to get one fixed.

Naz

I have, its so easy to use.

However.....i was on 1.0.2 and decided i wanted to get on 1.1.3. So I viginized to allow me to restore to 1.1.1 and then jailbreak to allow me upgrade to a jailbroken 1.1.3. To cut a long story short, it crashed half way through, its took two days of just trying and trying over and over again to unbrick it (I was nearly in tears!))

Finally it worked ( didn't do anything different than the previous times! However, it unlocked the sim but didn't jailbreak it....I think I have the only one in the world!!! LOL)

Cheers m8cky

This looks to be the easiest solution to use for iphones which are 1.1.2 OTB... So may consider doing it... for a friend...

Just want to be sure

Cheers

Se-Naz,

Got my 16gb iphone last week and use Ziphone 2.4b to do everything. QUite straightforward, using full batch automatic under GUI. Less than 5 minutes later, my 1.1.3 OTB is unlocked, jailbroken and activated to be used with any sim card without XXXsim. Did it earlier on my 8gb iphone which is now used by by Missus.

Apple event confirmed for March 6th for the "iPhone software roadmap"

"It's confirmed: Apple's next event is scheduled for March 6th, next Thursday. It'll be a Town Hall event; obviously new MacBooks and MacBook Pros aren't to be expected, but the unambiguous "iPhone software roadmap" and the image above should help guide our assumptions as to what will be discussed. The SDK's a given, but "exciting new enterprise features," eh?"
