Finally I got it comfirmed by myself. I know a guy who imports the phones to iceland. He told me that the pictures which were on http://hermione.cogia.net/ where the same ones that showed him... he knows that the hermonie will be with windows operating system and that those pictures where a idea that came up with, but it's not final version.... So yes, those pictures are real, but we don't know anything of if it will be relased... so know I know that.... I will post here as soon as I get More news...

and yeah btw. does anyone remember the email that the guy on http://hermione.cogia.net/ had?

What? Could it be SE leave SymbianOS UIQ for Windows Mobile OS ? Hhmmm... sounds interesting to me.

I hope SE could produce a smartphone with Windows Mobile OS... but I doubt it will have a touch screen feature if SE use WM2k3 for Smartphone.

Well I was a bit surprised that they are moving from symbian to windows, as then old P-series apps wont work, and the phone will be pretty diffrent from the old ones.... But my mate at told me that this is in the step to bring pda's and phones together... Im about 99.9% sure it will have tuchscreen

???

Hmmm...I'm sorry but I'm not convinced by this mate. SE Developer World is focusing a lot of attention on the Smartphone Show next month and are also the headline sponsors of the event...they have been marketing it for months on their site and sent out several developer newsletters highlighting the fact! It would make NO sense at all to chage platforms at this moment in time. You need to build a relationship with the developers to encourage application development and this does not generally include telling everyone one thing, one minute, and then completely back tracking the next. I don't pretend to have any connections in the industry but based on SE's investment in symbian and the fact they've repeatly said they'd be developing on Symbian OS I'd fully expect at least one UIQ launch within the next month or two...why change?...the only compelling reason I can think of is ActiveSync and even then it can be licensed!

Hi gardar,

When it comes for SE to move to a different platform, it's completely a different environment... so it cannot be compared.

I love both platform though... Windows Mobile and SymbianOS UIQ.

yeah I know... It is pretty strange, I think they should make a new serie for windows version "b" maby? b800, b900 etc then..? and let the p-series be uiq... But This Is just what I was told from my insider.... But I trust that guy completely, so what he was saying isnt just him blowing bubbles...

If you think about it, it's only logic.
Since Nokia owns the majority of symbian they can appoint whoever they want, and go the way they want.
As it stands now, SE has no advantage in using Symbian and go by Nokia's rules, better to use M$ Windows. A lot more potential developers on that platform.

But let's just wait and see.
