its a very handy and usefull fone. very hard to get one, not to mention a batt for it if it is. i saw once one, it fell from 1000m ( from a rescue helicopter ), the fone got some nice scratches, but after replacing a new battery, it worked fine.

its a very well build fone, the little brother of it ( r310 ) is very nice aswell. the rubber keypad is made of gore-tex technology in both fones for example. r250 support ptt aswell.

when the R250s pro was lauched they tested it on the BBC.
they fished with it (phone as bait, sadly no catch): worked fine.
drove over it with a heavy truck: worked fine.
they droped it from a 20 store building: battery jumped off, they only needed to put it back in, and the phone worked fine.
its main competitor 6250 sold much more (because it didn't have an antenna) but it wasn't as strong.
R310 was a more commercial phone, but the antenna wasn't loved. the adventure kit that was build for it made the histery books amound /// fans, its a must have for collectors.

weird that u say the the shark fin wasnt loved, on some way it do fits that fone and even it was "against /// traditions", it was a great choice imo.

Love the Ericsson fin aerial. The T68 would've looked good with one.
The 6250 isn't as good as the R250s.

I saw it on his website! The proto is amazing, and the amount paid for it too (around £380 if I remember rightly) ! Are they rarer than Hedvig?

i guess on some way both of them are rare. as i see, they are the apart of the experiments according design, the master built those ones maybe just for fun. who knows the real reason?
