must add, osx has a real working drag and drop interface that windows doesnt seem to pull off. iphoto is a godsend and its just dead easy to do little things.
automator is cool too, got a little command that lets me right click a file and it uploads it to a specified dir online

Yeah this is what i love about mac os it is just so simple to use which is good for me, when i switched over i thought it was too good to be true.

Windows has never had that simplicity which is why i switched in the first place.

Riiiight, i'm off to uni in september, and have decided to get me a new laptop.

I found 2 so far that I like with similar specs, 100GB HHD 1GB Ram etc. And that's all I really need, as I'll be using it for just word processing and music really (studying Business Management)

Also I only really wanna spend about £900, If I spend less I may not get a great Laptop that'll be outdated pretty soon (I always future proof) and If I spend more, well, i'm spending too much for what I need it to do.

With these new Macbooks being released, it got me thinking, I may go for one of them Does the Microsoft Office package come standard with them? (probably not, is it cheap to buy?)

Then I had another Idea, the 17" iMac is in my budget, and has great specs. Hmmmmm it's really got me thinking!

What you think I should do? I've only really had a play around with Macs at stores, never for more than a few minutes

If you are going to uni get a macbook as they are more portable, will make more sense than a desktop.

But my cousin told me a LOT of rooms get broken into and Laptops always get stolen and desktops are usually left. But I mean once it's there I won't be moving it, or taking it to starbucks to do my work on or anything.

*Hates decisions*

Well if that is the case and you do not need it to be portable the decision has been made.
