It ain't really such a big problem but more of a way out!
I have been ripped off by 4U Business and in turn O2 for 2 years and I wasn't able to downgrade even after 12 months!
Now I have a get out of jail free card and I intend to use it! and let everybody else know about it!

Now what to get, n95 8gig? If SE sort the K850 out before it hits retail ill get that otherwise its an n95 8gb.

I agree with you, dont see what the big deal is either, end of the day, other companies charge you for calling them numbers, so o2 are going to be doing the same. What I dont get, are people who are calling them numbers, saying they will go to another network, fine do that lol i say to them, but its not as if they will be getting them numbers free, cuz they won't.

Why should I stay with O2 now when I can port out to T-Mobile and save myself more in data charges than I ever would by getting free ngn's!
And what good does the negativity that you bring into this thread do to other fellow users?? I mean do you actually own O2?? Do you lose money each time someone cancels their contract through O2s breaking of contracts? I come here to help fellow users not to hinder them with negativity and pointless comments!

They are using the 01 & 02 numbers as an example this applies to the 0844 & 0845 numbers! New data prices will be out come the first of October but I doubt they will come anywhere near T-Mobiles!

Theres a couple of 07 numbers that are used for premium services, but not bog standard mobile calls.
The whole reason their stopping it is because it's been used and abused for years now.
We have foreigners (sorry to use the expression, if anyone has a problem, I'm sorry) coming in all the time expecting to get unlimited free calls etc to 08 numbers because THATS the prefix they use for calling their international calling cards. They hardly EVER use their minutes for calling in the UK, and thus cost O2 a fortune and ruin it for the rest of us (much like the other aspects of imigration, but thats for another time...).

My uncle who is on O2 used to use the sly 07744 numbers for international calls to his kids and now uses the 08 numbers but again will have to stop soon.
Oh and he is 100% english!

Ok, but still, O2 were the only operator to offer this service and if people cancel, it's not going to make their situation any better.
Besides, they don't HAVE to cancel your contracts, they are allowed to tweak your T&C's when they want so long as they notify you.

fact of the matter is anyone can cancel due the t's & c's written out by O2 in the contract, and no matter what any jobsworth say's there ain't a thing they can do about it.
And we are all aware we won't get 0844 or 0845 numbers free else where, but there ARE better deals to be had!
