Ive visited the market during weekend (both middlemen & showroom/Itsalat/Axiom), sadly P990i is not yet avaialble in Saudi Arabia and no firm date when will it be avialble. The Sony Showroom rep has advised me that they received cost advisroy that P990i will be offered at SAR 2,999.00 in the region (USD 799.73).

My brother based in Oman confirms that this is avaialble already in their market tagged at OMR 300 (01 Omani Riyal = 10 Saudi Riyal).

Don't let us wait for so long SE

Does anyone know when Australia is going to get this phone? It just blows how everything's delayed here!

Sony Ericsson Australia were saying "mid-September" 2 weeks ago. As of today, they will only say "coming soon" and refuse to give a date. They refuse to provide warranty on a P990i bought from another country, which really sucks, cause there's a whole lot of P990i's on eBay shipped from HK that are awfully tempting. I hear that Optus will release them sometime in October, which also sucks.

Anyone else got info on Australian availability?

Thanx for that info (also thanx to chunkylover53). At least we know then around what time it will launch (hopefully). Any longer then October and I wouldn't be able to stand it. I'm currently still using my 2 year and 3 month old p900 where the contract with Optus has long expired. The sad thing is that the p990 is the only phone that has everything I need, as there is no htc tytn here in Australia. God this country blows with this sort of stuff!

In Thailand available only through i-Mobile (a reseller).

The rest will have to wait or pre-order.

No news of expected launch date in India,
only that it will be released during Sep 2006....
Im seriously thinking of buying it from the grey market.

I have some really good news for those located in Athens, Greece. I have checked again with the main providers such as Vodafone GR, TIM GR, Cosmote GR, including also several shops and is the first time that they ALL give the same release to be the date of 18th-19th of September. You can check ie www.vodafone.gr and www.plaisio.gr as well as www.germanos.gr

It was about time, cause my old P900 that I have for three years is starting to give up and shuts down.
