After having the p800 then p910, the p990 seemed an obvious choice, but i was a little phased by its styling at first, as i loved the p910 because its flip sat well on the phone, although i very rarely used the p910's qwerty.
so i bit the bullet, and have never looked back, after 3 months of owning the p990 i swapped back to the p910i for a day and i was lost, the actual difference is amazing, the camera is excellent with no red tinge, the business card scanner works really well wich still amazes me every time i use it, the fm radio with rds and decent mp3 player with artwork display and a2dp for my bluetooth stereo headphones.
Excellent wifi connectivity with no problems whatsoever and 3g for on the move coupled with rss feeds and full email support.
I also use the bundled software Audible, which at first didn't really appeal but i have now listened to 3 audio books which were brill.
i can highly recommend this phone to anyone and i could go on and on about how good it is, even though mine is still voda branded (but not for long!) but i will leave it there and leave some space for other happy users!
GOD I LOVE MY

P990i

I would like to add that I think the flip in the FO mode is excellent as a palm rest while surfing with the stylus in landscape mode, and it's just brilliant that I can recharge the phone using the USB cable connected to any computer without having to install any driver beforehand with the file transfer mode.

I'm going to buy P990i, even there are some problems with memory. Just nice smart, atractive, touch display ... Now I have W800i, first SE walkman, very nice too, but now I'm looking forward to P990i

I'm obsessed! This phone is an instrument of the devil!
Ever since I got this phone back in Sept'06, I've done nothing but stare at it, clean it, and like everyone else who posted in this thread, toy around with its functions.
I've already banished my faithful P800 in my hall of forgotten favorites. (Actually... it's been demoted into a glorified alarm clock

)
Now I've gotten to be so paranoid. Whenever I'm at a crowded place, I immediately remove my P990 from its holster and place it in my pocket for safe keeping. I never let it go more than 5ft away from me... Oh man...
I'm entertaining thoughts of throwing this P990 into a fire...maybe some kind of writing in an evil language will appear on the casing. Heheheh
Anyway, seriously, this is a great device.
