In truth, a great many people i speak to bemoan the lack of an SE device above the P990i (which was too little too late IMO).
If your not music or imaging focused as regards your choice of mobile then SE can struggle to offer some buyers something.
Nokia has the undoubted benefit and luxury of being able to seperate the N & E series, both of which has good solid products to offer the more wealthy and serious mobile enthusiast.

What you've got to realise is that, sooner or later, they'll steal the ideas from each other anyway. The "novelty" of a Xenon flash or of on-board photo editors is already starting to wear off.
The phone companies have to deliver what the people want. That's it, pure and simple. Whatever we prefer they will inevitably deliver. The old question of cost, though raises its ugly head.
My contraversial answer to this question is "Nokia", simply because the majority of peope buy Nokias, and that's what counts in the end. That Nokia add-ons and firmwares are generally lesser than Sony Ericssons seems to hold no sway at all with the phone-buying public, which is frankly absurd.

also tell me what K800 has and K750 doesnt. I want solid reasons to indicate that they really are a big step forward from their predecessors.
the K750 has 2MP and the K800 has 3.2 mp. it also has 3g a video calling so they are major technical differences
like i said, in the time span of >30months, do you really think 3G and a camera upgrade are major upgrades?

@masseur for longer time w810 it was w810, a year ago, for 1 month or sg like that. later i had k610, k800 ( for 2 days, then i he enough of it ), actually i palyed with all se models for some days, but as second fone, cos non of them fits my needs as first fone.
k800 would have been perfect, only cos of the cam for some fun pix and as mp3 palyer, its way too big, then rather w810. maybe its just me, but i dont like half way solutions, even w880 looks fancy, it do disturb me, that no af. if i have a feature in a fone, i like to have a developed and up to date level. so when i look on w880 features, it reminds me on k610. notice, i focus mainly on the features and how it fits my hand at usage. since se turned to that kindergarten style keypads ( k550, w880 ) those arent for any use for me. so for me still w810 would be the best, do liked that fone and design.

So ANSWER THE SIMPLE QUESTION BOBBA...which phone from another phone company is so slim and can beat w880 features??!6300 doesn't have 3g even nor autofocus etc.I agree I dont need such a slim phone and rather have a slightly bigger phone with more features but for ppl who want slim phones then the w880 is ahead of anything from any other manufacturer, look at

japan and it becomes obvious that

wins the technology race hands down

nokia doesn't even exist there lol

W880 is also almost twice as expensive as 6300. Keep that in your mind. W880 is ridiculously priced.

yeah, no other brand offers such a slim fone, but i wouldnt pay the double price for less features, just to say, look, how slim...
as mentioned before, its not for my taste, but thats doesnt mean, for someone else its anot a good fone. for me, after k750, w800, w810 usage its a downgrade, even its so small...

Nokia are more inventive and innovative and far more advanced than any other i say. SE just stick to "if it aint broke dont fix it" phones with the same old boring phones over and over again. Motorola are well i say no more Samsung make toy like phones. I dont mind LG though they are getting more inventive and advanced with their technology with their phones more so than Samsung. Thats my verdict.

@deepsme- exactly where did I misread your post? You wrote that Sony should buyout Ericsson and use them for their expertise. You're crying that Sony's name has lost its value. SE phones are Ericsson first with Sony branding. The two are in a joint venture that is profitable so why mess it up? I'd much rather have Ericsson on its own without Sony but then that's dreaming cause it's not going to happen. Sony (SE) should learn from Ericsson on how to come out with a complete technological marvel.
