The Idou is the first 12mp phone,this alone is a big feature that will push many geeks to buy it,added to that the touch screen...
But if the price will be very high like the xpedia and the screen dull under sunlight...

Has SE announced Idou, how could I have missed that. Even so, what makes you think SE will be the first with a 12mp cell? Lg is working on a 12mp marketing ploy too ! My bet is on Samsung though. SE are quick to announce but late on delivery ! And isn't Idou supposed to run on Symbian? If so, I don't think we will see many before Christmas
(well unless SE is going to be the guinea pig - a thing which won't surprise me at all, given the 'clear thinking' of SE's management)

No Idou hasn't been announced, it's still in it's preview status.
People often overestimate the geek factor and just how many buyers there are in that demographic. Idou will need to appeal to the masses just like the iPhone to be successful.
