psycho : I'm gonna call Jeff tomorrow also. I still have problems with my phone falling asleep. It happened today again. I don't think I wanna change it immediately though as it'll be a waste of time going to EricServe over and over again. Just want Jeff to reserve a W23 unit for me and exchange it for the last time.

psycho and markng, yeah you should swap 1-1 for a 03w23 unit. The work-around is really unacceptable. Did Jeff say end of June for the new batch to arrived? That's a long wait...oh well, better late than a lot of hassle.

Ok guys, bad news.
I just called Jeff.. It seems that if the the pre-W23 phones can be 'fixed' with the audio recalibration, he will NOT replace you with a W23 phone. That kinda sums it all up.
Oh well, I'll use the T610 for a while and I'll find a "water-fish" to buy mine. You know, I hate to admit it but I have the least problem with the Nokia's (first 3210, then 7650). Sigh.. too bad their phones are butt ugly..with the exception of 6100.

i'll advice u not to give up so easily..... fight to the death... we malaysian sure boleh 1 !!!! worst come to worst, u can be like me..go bug Jeff every 2 or 3 days if u got the time that is

Even if the customer bitches about it, they can argue that the phone is working fine but deep inside, u know it's not.
I don't have time to go bug them everyday. I don't know about u but I'm kinda tied up with my job.
I won't be changing my phone so soon but I've learnt a valuable lesson. Never ever buy first bathes of phones from SE. Maybe it applies to other brands of phones as well. Basically, never pay to beta test
Have u been to the service center that's near Sunway Lagoon? Heard anything about them? Maybe I can try my luck there as its closer to my office.

psycho...no I haven't bought the phone yet. I'm going to wait until the 03w23 batch arrives. Like markng said, I don't want to be a "beta tester". Last time I called Ericserve they said they have the 03w22 in stock, but limited supply. Might as well wait for 1 more week and get the defect-free unit, after all it is a lot of money.
