Okay, so I was not actually looking for a(nother) phone, but a new digital camera instead today (to work in conjunction with the remarkable camera of the P900 of course)...
And I wonder, why is it that a relatively large individual store, not a retail chain though, was able to give me so much information on 3 out of around 30-40ish digital cameras that they sold... my bet would be that they could have done the same with any of the said 30-40ish cameras they stocked... I was impressed...
Now, the prior arguments mentioned include the fact that the store people should not waste their time increasing their knowledge... why not?... this little store had, and I bet they didn't have the resources that any of the aforementioned retail chains have either... maybe because they know they must be able to explain their products in order to sell and compete... which has worked as far as I am concerned, as I would certainly hand over my money for a camera from this store than to another electrical outlet based on this one experience alone... added to this was the fact that their prices were very competitive, comparable to internet kind of prices in fact, and the salesperson didn't try to flog me the most expensive either!
