yes, thats true. however, its interesting, that the support and service, mean the helpdesks, was brilliant. in hungary it was first class.

yeah.... and that too costs money... to have knowledgeable ppl on a helpdesk..... the very reason why support for most companies is utter arse.....

exactly. and the price for it was the exictance of the brand itself... sad, sad, sad... anyway, hope se will deliver in the next future the same level of support. mainly the helpdesks should be replaced again.

i think the problem was that they made phones that were to advanced for there time. they where gonna go for everything, lots of phones with thechnology that we only see today and lots of high tec home products. but sadly this hole project was killed

quality from sony? i know sony is good, i always try to buy sony, but i never had any problems with any of my /// phones.

@bart very good argument. its really weird and sad, that the heading for quality, in fones and support aswell, killed a brilliant concept. not many brands follow this way now a days, sadly...

@bart yes, some people do have problems but others dont.

io think ur absolutely right. ericsson were coming up with these weird yet good designs and their technology was good but noone really cared at that time. Ericsson should have taken things slower and now that sony have come along they are doin fine.

sony know how to be economical and market!

i think this has saved ericsson but they doi need to watch their balances and slow down a bit. luckily the t68m was a great success though, and i want that fone from tomorow never dies!

ericsson is still an indepandent company, they still design the phone hardware, nothing really changed - maybe sony is influencing the design abit, but well don't you think that the new design style is great ?
and the other thing that change are the softkeys - but guess what - sony ericsson them self, with their headquater in london, started some surveys and asked people about softkeys and so on
it wasn't sony who wanted to have the softkeys - it was the result of a survey that wanted softkeys and the ability to have a on/off button on the top of the phones
i don't think sony has a bad influence on ericsson, because finally the company is successful - just look at the T610/T630 and P800/P900 they sell amazing great and people love them

Yeah, jack00 has a point.I never liked Ericsson cuz of their slowness and if u say they were inovative, u r right but it wasn't only them.I say Alcatel was as inovative as Ericsson..they have designed an icon menu system when no1 had it yet (back in 2001 in OT701).Anyway, does one helluva job one that Ericsson couldn't manage to do it alone sadly..I wouldn't want Ericsson back.

///'s last lineup was great
T65 really strong phone, opened mine myself and everything was really in place protected by metal covers everywhere.
T66 was small and nice, and up to speed.
T68 killer phone.

that was there last line, so they new one was gonne be kick ass 2. speed from the T66, strenght from the T65, design and specs from the T68. and there comunicator was ready to be lanched

but what did we get? a T68 in new design, a T200 which was another bad R600, a T600 which was like the T66 only better screen but worse buttons, a T300 which was everything except and /// design.

this first se line up was something like a start up - like - get to know each other a bit better - it just took some time to get organized, and than we got the T610, which i personally see as the first real sony ericsson
of course they made some mistakes at the beginning, but show me one company joined adventure which had no problems at the start - and the good thing is that they saw what they did wrong
i'm personnaly really excited what se is bringing us in the future, cause ericsson did very much research in the umts direction

i have just to whishes towards s|e:
make cheaper memory sticks
make a buisness cell phone with a clam, like the t36, without a cam, but with a very good batterie
don't concentrate too much on imaging, cause this imaging trend is over in 3 years
