The only thing that bugs me about my P900 is that I can't use it in my car!

Fix that and I'm happy.

If the P910 will use my car's BT, I'll get it.

no i am not pissed off....
just got my p900 in mar 2004... will probably wait another 5 to 6 months before i may switch to 910. by that time,SE may probably have another upgrade.
I am happy with my p900 now .... except for the 128 mb limitation.

OK, I was a little dissapointed att firts when I read about P910. Then i thought about it and why change that much? I canīt find aa singel competitor to P900, and if there is that much people that ask for the qwerty keyboard why not make one? Now there is one reason less to buy a 9500. While they are releasing it why not fix the small lackings that some people experinced?

And Blokia that releases phones that only look different and maybe a game more or so.

Iīm a proud owner of a P900 and after a bit thinking not even the slightest dissapointed att SE

I canīt understand how you all can sitt and whine about Panasonic got better screens, Samsung got better cameras, LG got nicer design bla. bla. bla. Look at it from this perspective. SE got godd screens, Se got good cameras, SE got good design, SE got THE BEST menues! SE got BEST battery time (for the functions)

STOP WHINING!!

tried P910 proto, (semicon Philippines is using it)
same size as P900 but seems a little bit lighter.
it is still using old lcd (65k) 262k LCD is not yet available
qwerty is kinda stiff... and we could use with two hands, w/o fear of breaking it unlike P900
easier to sms w/ keypad closed as the keys are bigger than P900

S700 was not available at the moment, but their stuff was able to beam me some pics... S7 sw is not yet perfect

P910 proto with a 65 screen.
So there we go... the screen is compatible
Let the story unfold for other P900 hardware bits

I just got my P900 last week in Belgium. After playing with it a little bit, I decided to go take a look at the SE Website. And there I see a new model, the P910, will be available soon. My first reaction was "you stupid ass, couldn't you just wait a little longer!".

But a week later, after having used the P900 for a while, I don't regret buying it The phone has all I need, works fine and is just great! So maybe the P910 has some better functions and extras, but I really couldn't care less at the moment!

But off course, maybe that'll change as soon as I get the chance to test the P910 with my own hands ...

A lot of people have people have been chatting about features for the Pxxxx but seem to have missed one really very good feature that would be very cheap to implement and very cool. Solar power.
Now before anyone starts getting all irate about f**king great solar panels stuck to the phone hear me out....

BP's tech division make some very nifty clear solar panels. That's right they're trasparent (well 95% so) so what you could do with that huge screen real estate on the Pxxxx is add a solar overlay. Now that would be a very nifty feature. Just leaving your phone on the desk could extend the battery life by 20-30%, something I'd pay for... and would also help to drive all that radio gear included (GSM, WCDMA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth etc.)

So my Pxxxx spec is:

Everything in the P900-910 and:

64mb FREE user RAM
128mb FREE user internal storage
262k colour screen
1.3-2MP camera with Flash
Wi-Fi etc.
HTML email
1Gb MS Pro compatible (128 in the box)
In-line remote for MP3's with OLED screen (like the Motorola Paragon II)
MP4 player that'll do 30 fps in landscape mode
The ability to rotate the whole screen so that the OS can be used in landscape mode as well as portrait
Solar power
And one for the baying mob, how about an integrated GPS receiver, 3G phones do it already so include it.... (toss in a 6 month trial of a road navigation system wth speed camera alert, priced at Ģ100 p.a. after)

Oh and long range Bluetooth (that actually works)

And for this groovy spec a price point of Ģ350-400 on contract (well I'd pay that....)

Hopefully someone will take exception and prompt a flame war

ok... let me take the lead to follow that up
can someone come up with a retail price tag for such a gizmo filled in same size box
Anyone with a good estimation skill...

Then of course, we can discuss how many of us will pay for that now?
