I understand that if you didn't get on the beta for gmail then you need an 'invite' from someone already on gmail to get it, anyone got any, am I just waffling on? Why are these walls soft and comfy

Hi all I'm using profimail V2.19 and thes are my settings. I have no problems sending and receiving mail from my P910i.

Mail server type : POP3
Incoming mail server : pop.gmail.com
Outgoing mail server : mail.mtn.co.za (my GPRS network server)
Username : username@gmail.com

In advance section the following
Secure POP3 login : (Unchecked)
SMTP authentication : (Unchecked)
SMTP username : (Blank)
SMTP PW : (Blank)
POP3 port : 995
SMTP port : 25
Use SSL for POP3 : (Checked)
Use SSl for SMTP : (Unchecked)

ack. I got profimail but I cannot get gmail to run it started retrieving messages but got stuck then it just wouldnt retrieve again....someone can help? I have Cingular.

@lorinserclass I had the same problem. I gave up on ProfiMail after a while and now I just check my Gmail through the built in internet client. A while back Gmail added support for basic HTML browsers and I find that it is actually faster to check my mail through the browser than ProfiMail.

I don't know if it is a problem with Cingular, but it seems like every third time I used ProfiMail, it would wipe out all my messages and the program would hang for a while before deciding my entire mailbox was empty. Then it woudn't even atttempt to connect.

I think you are best just checking it online with the browser.
