From what I gather wayfinder has a huge database of maps, postcodes, locations, POI and of course the whole of europe.

Im just a little concerned how much of that Route 66 would fit on 128mb. Im guessing the entire card will be full of route info leaving nothing free for my other vital apps.

Wayfinder looks like the one for me, you can set the cache size and pre-download maps if you know where your going to save space, if you do go off route no worry, it will just download what you need.

hi all, hi NILS7, a few question about tomtom and P910 , please answer if you can: (sorry for the repost)

1) the P910 CPU is fast enough for Tomtom? examples of slowdown routing? (i use now a ppc asus 620bt for tomtom and my smart P910 for all other stuff, and i think the P910 is a little bit slow : i don't like to see: turn right in 150 mt ... when the turn is 5 mt ... , what your experience? )

2) i use sometime tomtom mobile for nokia 6600, symbian os and he work like a charm: same experience on P910?

3) is possible to use tomtom on P910 in landscape mode?

TIA

as its only for the 910? perhaps you could copy the 128 meg map info onto a 1 gig card? after looking at the specs for the tomtom offering ( if its like tomtom 5 ) i would prefer that i think.

1) Slow to start up - not too bad for navigation - route 66 is apparently faster

2) Should be better.

3) Demos were shown in landscape mode.

Chances are that it wont be out by the end of the week. I dare say the maps will be out of date when it does come out!
