Hi, I've also ordered an o2 online s700! about two weeks ago now!

I rang up yesterday and was told that they should be in stock by the end of the week, but I'm not so sure now after hearing about the other problems.

It would be interesting to see if others who have ordered this phone from o2 have been given the same timescale!

You wont be disappointed. You know how to fix the text bug don't you? Once that is done everything else will be fine.

What deal did you get with it?

Oh, and welcome to Esato kid!!!

I like the features of S700i: the screen color and resolution, the CCD 1.3 MP digital camera, and the capability of memory expansion using MSD. Those are superior to K700i. But only two things that obstruct me to purchase S700i: the weight and the design.
Especially the design: I really don't like S700 when its slide is open, it becomes very very very long... even longer than any Samsung clamshell when the flip is open.

I'd rather be waiting for K750i or W800i.
Meanwhile i'm so happy with my brand new K700i...

Yeah but you only ever have the keypad visible when you text. For me it is in the closed position most of the time.

How much did you pay for the handset?

I have had mine since January. It takes excellent pictures. Look in the Post your pictures thread.

Hey guys! I was about to resurrect my thread today - finally got my S700 today! Vodafone claimed they had no stock for 2weeks, then when they did have it in stock they tried to change the original tariff they offered me - from 1000text to 500text.
They claimed I must have been mistaken as there is no 1000text package available.

I wasn't happy with this, and so went to O2 Online - I took the £45 package - 400mins, 1000text, £79.99 handset price.

@S700Guy - You don't seem to have been treated fairly by O2. I ordered mine last Friday (25th March, around 11am). They tried to deliver it on Wednesday (30th March) but I wasn't in so had to get it today.

I'll report back sometime tomorrow when I've had time to play with my new baby! Off to bed now

@jasa - Congrats pal! I hope that you'll keep that model for sometime now . . . sure you'll enjoy browsing ALL of it's features, just as I enjoy the features of my Ericsson T28s mate . . .
