You're mistaken. At least in part.
T68m was the last Ericsson, T68i was the first SonyEricsson.

the last ericsson to hit the market was the R600 or T66/T65
the T68m was on the market before them

my 2c... here in singapore lots of people always refer to SE as Sony, hardly ever Sony Ericsson. maybe the fact we're nokia's asian HQ has something to do with it.

I do it myself. I know it's not accurate, but the fact is, people still think of these phones as ericssons mostly. And its shorter to say. (Dons flame-proof suit, ducks...)

@Aikonoklast, genius!

Wasn't it Shakespeare who said "A rose by any other name would smell as sweet"?

No matter what the general public will think SE is, it in essense is exactly what it is professed to be; a joint venture by two entities whose outcome is an independant organisation that has the capacity to do better than either parents on their own. The sum of the part is greater than the whole.

I think SonyEricsson has already differentiated it's products enough to warant it's own identity. Likewise, both Sony and Ericsson continue to do well in their own rights, and also deserve to have their own image.

No matter what people call them, Sony is Sony, Ericsson is Ericsson, and is
