Both CCD and CMOS have current wide ranging products using them...
Canon's latest prosumer cameras like the 20D have new gen CMOS sensors while most compact consumer cameras (as well as prosumer) have CCD
I'm looking forward to getting a K750i as my works phone (s700i is my personal phone)
I do like and use often the camera on the s700 and am looking forward to the new one...roll on may

This is what i did. I took a print out of the above picture in a A4 Size HP Photo (Glossy/Matte) Paper at 4800x2200 Resolution (DPI).
Believe me the print is full page and i cannot see a difference between this print out and the one taken from a digital cam.
Normally now a days nobody buys a 2.0 digital cam. It mostly above 3.0 or 4.0 or 5.0+ Megapixel.
No point of having a 5.0 megapixel and taking a print out in an Standard Home Printer with A4 Size paper. 2.0 is sufficient for it.
I do not say that the k750i cam is 100% comparable to the Digital Cam (2.0).
But i would definately give it a rating of about 80% - 90% Comparable depending on the picture you clicked.
Still these picture are clicked by someone else. We would actually know and believe when we get the phone in Hand.

@private: yeah sucsessor should have a 3mp cam, cuz it must be "special" in peoples eyes and superior to k750. But as Swedish_Chef said, we don't know when it will come out. Could be a 1 year wait for it ..
