just got it from ebay yesterday, didn't know it was a proto when i was bidding on it. too bad the seller didn't have the box on the manual anymore. what's the firmware on your proto? mine says R2M while my regular streaking silver has R2K. isn't the proto older than the other one but has a newer firmware? what's the difference between TU1, TU2 and TU3?

i thought so but i've had 2 R520m's with R2K and both of them have T9 text input and no chinese language, available languages on mine are english, us english espanol latam, portugues br. in the service menu for software info it says:
R2K

R2K
prgCXC125147_TAE

It is a TU3 version and was made 01W13
