Well, you can send SMSs from Address Book in Mac OS X if your phone is paired with the Mac you're using. You type the SMS on the Mac and it gets sent via Bluetooth to the phone and off through your phone.

Any messages you recieve on your phone will appear on your Mac while Address Book is connected to your phone.

But do remember to put 'K750' in the appropriate .plist - see earlier in the thread ;)

Really? Cool, never knew that... I'd love to see it, but yesterday my Powerbook's HDD gave up. If any of you run an 8026GAX, don't trust it for a minute... :(

Hi Sapparobaby.
My phone and mac connect perfectly when it comes to sycing but not when used as a modem. The bluetooth becomes active on phone and mac but phone will not connect to wap. it connects to wap normally on it's own but not when it's needed as a modem.
I have tried everything but there's obviously a glitch somewhere.
Darn.

The problem you are having is down to one of two things: Firstly, you may be using the wrong scripts, in which case try here: http://www.taniwha.org.uk/
The second issue may be with your GSM network settings. What network are you on,a nd are you on paya as you go or pay monthly?
Tell us these fetails and i will find a fix very uickly, and no, you're phone is not broken.

Hi

I am about to replace my rather old P800 and am thinking that the K750i will meet all my needs. After reading through the posts on this thread I have a couple of questions.

I am using 10.4.2 Will I still need the various third party “cleaner” applications? If so is there a “How to set up” site?

Do the iCal Tasks get transferred to the K750i with iSync?

Many thanks

Hi,

The 'third-party cleaner apps' are just for removing the invisible (to the Mac) .DS_Store and .Trashes files the Mac OS leaves all over the memory stick when its mounted on the Mac via USB. If you transfer files via Bluetooth you don't need to clean these files as they don't get transferred.

iCal 'To Dos' do get transferred to the phone as Tasks. For some reason they appear slightly differently to Tasks created in the phone - they don't have an icon. But they do transfer and with reminders if a Due Date is set in iCal.

What "third party" cleaners are you talking about? You mean for the ._ds files or something like this? Mac OS generates these, so there is nothing you can do about them.

iSync, as far as I know will sync tasks and calendar and contacts with the k750i generally without a problem. Ask Jools as he can better help you out here.
