There is something that you can do about the ._ DS files; I use FinderCleaner and rather than dragging the K750i to the Trash, I drag it to that on my dock and get gets rids of the DS files and resource forks too!
By the way, has anyone found an workaround for the contact dash issue yet? I'm sure I saw it on here, but searches bring up nada!

Why the hell does MacOS even put ._ files on a DOS volume? There should be a way of switching it off, because it's obvious they don't really do anything. OK, if you wanted to store files on a MSD then they wouldn't open in the application that saved them, but surely if you were doing that, then you would have a Mac formatted memory stick? Let me have a look at the file system files under the hood of X and see if i can change some settings.....

Probably... but then, this is behaviour for all storage devices. Even FAT and NTFS volumes over firewire, and even Samba retain these files. They contain the 'view' information, so they're not quite useless
Re: the issues with K750i and dialup via bluetooth, though not GPRS, the solution is this -- force the Bluetooth Setup Assistant to use the "Ericsson T39 14.4" modem script. Works like a charm. Pity nothing faster does :/
BTW - I'd have taken up your offer, but it's already been replaced. One of the scariest things I've ever done... now on a cheap WD 600VE.

Ok, no problem Brap. If anyone else happens to have mac trouble though, email me

I can do most work for half the amount Apple can, and I can get hold of most Apple service parts through back-channels with service centres.
What do you guys think of the upcoming iPhone? I dislike Motorola, but if it has good build quality I'd be quite keen on getting it!

BluephoneElite has been mentioned quite a few times
on Esato and its (free) predecessor
BluePhoneMenu.

Hi all,
BluephoneElite and BluePhoneMenu are both great and I just registered BluePhoneElite because I wanted the extra application and script functions (so that it runs iSync when my phone is comes into range).
I have read about 1/2 the back post on the very long thread and was wondering if there is a simple way to sync notes BOTH DIRECTIONS with my K700i (via btooth). I know I can send notes from my phone from the more options, but you can't see the notes folder in mac's bluetooth manager. I'd ideally like to have folder of text files that just sync under something triggered by BluePhoneElite. Maybe this is an applescript that someone's written? I've tried fiddling with BlueService and PhoneAgent but I can't see that either do what I want.
I think e2syc
http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/27008 does what I'm after for Entourage but I feel dirty having to use Microsoft when I don't have to!
Any ideas?

Yes, that's correct - I did advise you to use Address Book. You said you wanted to "use my mac to sms in school lol". Which is exactly what Address Book allows you to do. It's supplied with the operating system and is free.
You never replied to say that Address Book doesn't do what you wanted, even though it does allow you to "sms in school".
Try to be more specific in your requests for help - then maybe people will be able to give you the answer you want. At least we tried to help you!
