UK User on Virgin here.

Exactly the same problem as the original poster - I get to 46%, then "error in communication with the device" - phone works OK, camera says its the wrong version.

Java 1.5 but won't bother rolling back to 1.4 seeing as that doesn't seem to sort the problem.

Will investigate davinci (never head of it before) because I want to get my camera working again!

will sonyericsson update the seus service solving this problem? but...when?

Hi,
same problem, comunication error at 46%. I've reflashed, disconnecting/reconnecting the battery, and the procedure was good, but turning on the phone, it crashes! Turned one onother time and everythings seems to be ok, but it isn't. I had only english language in the lang settings (I'm Italian)!
I've flashed again the phone renaming the R1L002 files as suggest in tis case..but, "Communication error", panic! I've deleted all files in the software-data folder and reflashed another time. Now is all ok! I've all languages and software/camera version.

I HAVE ALLREADY OCCURED A PROBLEM BY PLAYING VIDEO AVI OR 3GP IN GOOD QUALLITY(TAKEN FROM POST OF ESATO,AND WITH R1L WAS PERFECT)WITH DELAYS ON THE PICTURE AND THE SOUND.
I WAS ALSO HAVE SEEN WHILE INSTALLATION THE 'PHENOMENON' FROM 57% GOING IN TO 100% INSTANTLY.
AFTER THE 'SUCCEDED' INSTALLATION,MY MOBILE WAS STILL RUNNING ON MY LAST SETTINGS.
IN THE FILE OF UPDATE SOFTWARE I HAVE FOUND 2 SOFTWARE ICONS

SHOULD I TRY TO RUN UPDATE AGAIN (AND DELETING THIS FILE FIRST

had this problem and fixed it with dyndragon's suggestion using DaVinci.

With my phone, reflashing solves the problem. I think it can depend from computer performance. Who had problems, can try with a faster PC.

So it work perfect for you?What about playing 3gp in horizontal screen?Any other problem?
