i get what you are saying masseur. but its the stereo speakers that i dont get as being an advantage. the only time my speaker is used is when it rings or when i play song on it when im alone quietly, and stereo speakers isnt needed for either of these for me...
just wanted to know what sort of advantages stereo speakers bring to some people. sure some can say its louder, but there are phones which are louod which dont have stereo speakers.
the n73 has 3d/stereo speakers, they are rubbish imho

More megapixles dosent mean better pics, and a higher cpu-clock dosnt mean faster cpu. More color dosnt mean better screen. But qwerty means better way to input txt, and touchscreen means better userinterface...

@bavlondon2 and iopy,
You really are starting to spout some rubbish now, the battery in both the N73 and N93 are more than adequate if not excellent and yes the N80 has a short battery life but this is hardly breaking news now is it? Just how long does the P990 battery last for then as it is no where near as long as my more powerful N93.
My N93 has a 1150aMh Li-Polymer battery and using all of it's many functions i have not once run out of battery and at least Nokia ships the battery they described with their phone.
P990 anyone with a BST-44 oh no sorry forgot that's just a typo we will update your device and make it more power hungry and then give you a smaller battery, with still no site of the promised improved battery some 8 months later. But of course SE can do no wrong can they and all because they love you, no sorry my mistake they love your money they actually don't care about you at all as proved by their lack of communication or actions of late.
@iopy you also say
" More megapixels doesnt mean better pics, and a higher CPU-clock doesn't mean faster CPU. More color doesnt mean better screen. But qwerty means better way to input text, and touchscreen means better user-interface..."
Agreed more Mega Pixels doesn't mean better pics in phones and is why i will stay with my N93 with it's 3.2 mega pixels and 3x optical zoom. But a higher CPU clock speed along with the full version of a 2D/3D graphics does give much better performance over the same underlying OS in my experience. A qwerty and touchscreen means better user interface only if that is what the user wants or needs. There are more people using smart phones with out these then with and we can't all be wrong can we? Just because that is what you view as a necessity or important doesn't make it right for everyone does it? Otherwise every one would be using that combination and it would be the dominant device spec which it very clearly isn't. Millions use smart phones with out these and are more than happy with their devices just accept it and move on.

Why is it that you allways pop in or out whenever its talk about the P990i? You dont even have it anymore. And yes, its ok for people to NOT like Nokia phones, as you dont like SE. One thing is for sure, I will never ever understand you and your way of handle this. You have allways accuse ares for an SE employee. How about YOU on Nokia?? You sure cant be so much older than my son.
Sorry to say, but you are really begin to be a real pain in the ....
From now on I will never read anymore post from you, I will just jump over them

@ Tail,
I am not sure if that is intended at me but firstly i am 46 so unless you are in your 60'S i am not young enough to be your son.
I have never accused Ares of working for SE anywhere or ever, if so show me where?
I pop in as you put when people are saying things that are incorrect and you read what ever you wish it really doesn't bother me one way or the other
If you actually read what i post you would of seen that i have already stated i don't want people to stop buying SE or to start buying Nokia or any other manufacturer either. Why would i i own no Nokia share shares and don't work for them so have nothing to gain.
I suppose you are just another SE fan that hates any criticism of the once great SE, ah shame.

I think Masseur's hit the nail on the head pointing out just how old the P990 is in comparison to these just-released Nokia phones... the reality is that, however successful or otherwise it may have been, the P990 was never intended to compete with an N95 or an E90 - it belongs to a previous generation. We don't yet know exactly what competition this current generation can expect from SE - although the early pics of the M610i look promising. There may be another P series phone, there may not, but it does at least look certain that UIQ3 is to continue and develop in a new line of both SE and Motorola phones.
It's a shame the P990/M600 have made a few very vocal enemies... but stuff happens. Lessons will have been learnt. Since SE now own UIQ, they're obviously pushing ahead with this as their OS of choice; and given UIQ's strength in regard to adapting to different form factors, we may even see it spreading much wider across the range.

Some people dont write essay on the phone like you do. So a qwerty is not essential. Some people take pleasure in how their phone sound when it rings.

In the N95 case it is not the case. It is definitely faster than P990 and the camera is definitely better than p990.
