if anything, this thread has probably shown that in general the P1 isn't "considered as P-series" and if that is correct, I would have to agree.

for me the P1 was a natural progression from the M600 having given up the standard line of P's, largely because of the bulk of those which was not helped by having the flip

I have a feeling that SE named this as a P phone to shift focus away from the problem plagued P990, but I feel its a shame that its not named M610 as that would have made more sense to me. That way there would be a choice of messenger phones, the M600 without camera and wifi and the M610 with...

the fact that i am friend to someone who actually tests SE prototypes and has seen the P990 successor proto WITH FLIP should make me a bit more reliable than you on that...just saying not to mention the fact all SE insiders say the same thing

Does your best mate in SE know whether they're keeping the flip-closed mode, Ares? Has he said that? The leaked photo seems to show a much longer screen, and a much shorter flip than the P990... more like the P1's dimensions if you ask me. More like a "true successor" to the P1 even. But then, I don't own the truth like you do...

i do not dislike the P1, i may get/use one until the true P990 successor is out...but fact remains, the direct sucessor is yet to come, like it or not

btw, the leaked photo...man, its just a FAKE...wait for the real thing, soon
