Hey guys and girls.

Im looking for your opinions on my situation.

You see, ive been with o2 4 years now, and last year i sorted out an good contract on the k800, and i dont no wether this year to push for anything more or stay with what ive got.

My deal stands as, 500 xmins
900 txt
12 month contract
£20
& at the time, a free k800 silver.

So what do you think, coz im hearing that most ppl are getting only 400 mins and 1000 txt over 18 months now....so i dont think my chances are high of staying with 12 month contract really if i try to push for more.

I particularly want to get that, 'unlimited' o2 calls thing, any ideas on how to push for that?

Thanx in advance everyone.

@arj2442

I managed to get the phone for free, on a 12 month contract, with 400 minutes and 1000 texts for £25 a month (usual price is £35) and also the O2 Web Bolt On thrown in for nothing (that'll be handy for my iPhone). Be persistent, you will get close to what you want.

I put my order in on Monday and rang up today and was told there was no record of an order being put in for me and that i couldnt put one in now because of the backlog and that i should call back on the 17th

ring back in the morning and ask the person to look at your notes.

You will find that the person you have spoke to wasnt able to place it on monday as it only came on to o2 purchase system Tuesday monring. Its should say on there that you called to purchase one.

Also just say well can i order one now. I can tell you that some people say yes and some say no.

O2 use 2 systems to order on, Tell them you don want a upgrade and you want to purchase your handset. They will then look on the other system which it is on. (was on)

Are you also on a online tarrif. If you are, you can check your order details within 5 mins as well.

If you are not, I suggest you ring back 10 mins after just to confirm or get a order number.

yeh, well, i am gna try it.

Last year i went through the hassal of trying to get an upgrade with the fools that first deal with your request, this time ill just ask for pac code straight away.

Still though, anyone got any good points of attack i can use to get the 'unlimited o2 to o2 calls' ???

For example the orange unlimied calls, but thats on a 35pm contract, i dont wna be paying that obviously, i want 20 like im on now or 25pm at the most

All o2 online 18 and 24 months tarrifs can have 02-02 calls for free.

I must admit to getting rather fed-up with O2 retentions - I'd called to get my PAC code and he couldn't really offer me much at the time as the main reason I'm moving (to either 3 or T-Mobile) is for the data plans. At first he tried to sell their plan as unlimited until I pointed out the 200MB cap. He then admitted they really didn't have much to offer by way of data and eventually gave me the address to write to for a PAC (which seems a rather annoying hassle). I've now had 2 further phone calls from retentions, neither of which (unsurprisingly) can offer me much on the data front. Sadly one of them even tried to tell me there were problems with the T-Mobile service and the WnW Plus was laptop-only, wouldn't work on the phone and had a dreadful reputation! Having rubbish data plans I can excuse (just!) but slagging off the competition with complete lies is really a bit much - quite happy to be leaving them to be honest!

WOW! they really slagged t mobile off like that? web n walk plus and max are fantastic deals, and yes they are for both phone and PC. Normal web n walk is phone only. I use my web n walk to play online games like guildwars. Plug phone into PC and theres the internet XD. I cant wait to get the web n walk max plan.

Again any network that slags off t mobiles web n walk is (insert f word) up. No one else offers better data tariffs. 3's new ones are ok, but theres a catch. after you go over your limit you are charged 10p per meg, and the limits are lower and more expensive then t mobile. If you exceed your fair use policy on t mobile, you dont get charged any extra. Voda only offer 120 meg for £7.50, orange only give 30 meg for £8.00 lol.

T mobiles tariffs are the best for data though.

Are CPW still doing the offer that was discussed earlier? £25 a month, if so which network was it on and does anyone have a link to it?

It would help to negatiate my upgrade.

Thanks
