Imho, though the n3530/3510i has 4096 colours.. still the t300 256 color screen stands out. The nokia has its color scheme set or preconfigured, while you can make your own with the SE.
i can't comment on the games though.
all ericsson/se data cables are compatible. so if your mom uses the t68 cable, then you can use it on the t300 as well.
you can covert nokia ringtones with a program from christersson.org. picture msgs, you can store 'em but you can't forward them. screensavers can be done easily with any gif animator programs.
i think the t300 polyphonics are loud enough
yes, firmware upgrades can fix bugs.
